Power Supply issues
Many people have had issues with the power supplies. There is a switch on the inside for adjusting voltage depending on where you live. You want to ensure that this is adjusted correctly before you do anything.
Here's what happens if you aren't safe with your power supply!
Fixes
It is recommended to run the 12v fan for your hotend directly to the 12v on the power supply.
The image above is a common problem. Many people solder directly to the board which is the best case scenario. It is also recommended to get a larger cabling for the power supply to the heatbed.
Another thing the Tarantula does not provide is a 3 prong power supply. These are readily available with PC's and is recommended to ground the power supply.

Can I use an ATX power supply?
Sure! There are many tutorials on how to do this online. You will have to jumper the green wire on the 24 pin and connect it to a ground wire. You will also need the 12v connections(usually off of a 4 pin) and wire those together. A benefit here is having a switch, but also have a more reliable unit. Another benefit is noise. The fans on the power supply units that come with the Tarantula are very noisy. A 120mm fan or similar which is fairly standard in an ATX power supply will definitely keep the sound more bearable.
